A banner ad is graphic of various size appearing within select locations in a web site. Some can be hard carded directly into the code of the site, as you would a normal graphic or image.
But more often than not, banner ads are ‘delivered’ to a web page at pre-designated areas. These ar-eas are connected directly to a collection of ads that get will appear based upon predetermined crite-ria.
The software that manages the ads and their delivery is called an Ad Ops, or Ad Delivery System. With-in the Ad Ops, you can designate where, when, how often and why an ad is delivered. The software CAMMD uses for its clients can also generate reports so you can see the performance of your ads.
If you have a web site that has quite a bit of traffic – like maybe 500 visitors a day, you could sell ban-ner ads at $25-50 each. Something to think about.
CAMMD builds banners that adhere to IAB standards.
